Ruth E. Ragsdale 1914-2007 Wednesday, December 5, 2007 EAST GALESBURG - Mrs. Ruth E. Ragsdale, 92, 28 Woody Drive, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 4, 2007) in Heartland Health Care Center.She was born Dec. 9, 1914, in Manlius, the daughter of William and Frances Czech Bolnow. She married Floyd D. Ragsdale on Oct. 8, 1949, in Peoria. He survives. Also surviving is a cousin, Bill Chenneour of Mendota. She is preceded in death by her parents. She worked as an RN for Dr. Milo Reed's office for 27 years. She retired in 1976. She graduated from Manlius High School in 1931. She graduated from John C. Proctor School of Nursing in 1935. She was a charter member of the Genealogical Society. She was past Matron of Peoria Heights Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1943. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Wataga. Funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Tim Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
