BUSHNELL - Students in Bushnell-Prairie City District 170 were back in school Wednesday after Monday's boiler room explosion left Bushnell-Prairie City High School without heat for nearly two days.

Superintendent David Messersmith said the heat at the high school was back on Wednesday. He said the district is waiting on an estimate of damage from an insurance company before cleaning up debris in the boiler room left from doors exploding off the boiler around 11 a.m. Monday. No one was hurt in the incident. Students left school at 1 p.m. Monday and all district classes were cancelled Tuesday.
