Traffic Accidents

GALESBURG - Bradley J. Baker, 25, 3028 Whitehaven Circle, told police his parked car was struck by an unknown vehicle in the 1400 block of North West Street sometime before 2 a.m. Sunday.
- Vehicles driven by Warren F. Grabner, 18, Highland Park, and Cynthia L. Ruskowski, 55, Normal, collided at 2:47 p.m. Saturday at Knox and Academy streets. Grabner was cited for failure to yield.
- Krista R. Villarreal, 36, 532 Goodsill Drive, East Galesburg, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license after the car she was driving struck the trailer of a semitrailer at 5:17 p.m. Friday at Chambers and Main streets.
- Three people were treated for minor injuries after an accident at 11 p.m. Thursday. Kelia E. Flemings-Turner, 48, Omaha, Neb., told police she stopped at the stop sign at Mulberry and Chambers streets then proceeded into the intersection without noticing an oncoming car. Her vehicle was struck by a police car driven by Magdalene D. Semington, 28, 150 S. Broad St. The collision forced Flemings-Turner's vehicle to struck a median then roll onto its top. Flemings-Turner was cited for failure to yield. Flemings-Turner and two passengers were treated and released at Cottage Hospital.
- Vehicles driven by John P. Hall, 21, 983 Breezy Bluff, and Peggy Bainter, 37, 1711 N. Carl Sandburg Drive, collided at 7:44 p.m. Wednesday at Fremont and Henderson streets. No citations were issued.

HENDERSON - Dustin Whitsitt, 31, 53 Moshier Hill Road, told police he swerved the truck he was driving to avoid hitting a deer at 6:45 a.m. Sunday at 236 Moshier Hill Road. His truck struck a parked vehicle owned by Ashley N. Aldridge, 17, 216 Huston St.

GILSON - A truck driven by Harry E. Lynch, 50, Fiatt, hit a deer at 6:35 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Illinois 97.

ST. AUGUSTINE - A car driven by Nancy L. Bennett, 59, London Mills, hit a deer at 7:30 p.m. Friday on Illinois 116 at Knox Road 575E.

VICTORIA - A truck driven by Michael D. Gibbs, 47, Kewanee, hit a deer at 7:13 p.m. Thursday at Illinois 180 and Knox Road 2250N.
