Tammy Lufkin, father of Caleb Lufkin, gets a hug from a well-wisher after a ceremony honring Caleb at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Home in Galesburg Tuesday night. Caleb died during surgery last week after receiving injuries in Iraq.

Lufkin arrived at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Home in Galesburg shortly before midnight in a motorcade that included motorcycles, police cars, fire trucks and ambulances. The procession traveled from O'Hare International Airport in Chicago to Galesburg, passing through Knoxville and East Galesburg on the way.
