Council accepts several bids

GALESBURG - The Galesburg City Council approved the following bids Monday:- $23,220, Office Specialists of Galesburg, for nine laptop computers. Low bidder could not guarantee price and delivery was at least five weeks. Office Specialists can guarantee the price and deliver the laptops within 10 days.
- $15,412, Gametime by Recreation Concepts, modular playground equipment for Rotary Park. Delivery is expected within four weeks.
- $4,865, Monkebar Builders of Bloomington, installation of playground equipment at Rotary Park. The Rotary Club donated $25,000 to buy equipment.
- $17,439, Action Target Inc., purchase of a target system for the police department weapons range. Fifty percent of the money will come from the Special Enforcement Fund (confiscation) and 50 percent from the FBI.
- $123,503, Gunther Construction, resurfacing of Sumner Street from Main Street to North Street.
