James E. Chamberlain

LAKE FOREST - James Edward Chamberlain, 64, Lake Forest, died April 16, 2006 at home from complications of lung cancer.

He was born Oct. 11, 1941, in Macomb, the son of Fremont and Jettie Chamberlain.

Surviving are his wife, Ann "Angie" (Boyd) Chamberlain, Libertyville; two daughters, Kaarn (and Scott) Luce, Libertyville, and Whitney (and Sean) Mertz, Wadsworth; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was raised in Galesburg.

He received bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial and automotive education from Bradley University.

He taught in Township High School District 113 from 1963 to 1997, teaching industrial arts and consumer economics and developing a course in physics technology.

He also operated Chamberlain Construction.

He was a member of the Rondout School Board in the mid-1970s.

He enjoyed fishing, skiing and scuba diving.

Funeral was Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church, Libertyville. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville. Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, Libertyville, was in charge of arrangements.
