Elizabeth J. 'Betty' Parli 1952-2006 Tuesday, April 25, 2006 RUSHSYLVANIA, Ohio - Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Parli, 53, Rushsylvania, formerly of Maquon, died April 4, 2006, after a nine-month struggle with brain cancer.She was born Dec. 9, 1952, in Galesburg, the daughter of Lawrence Leroy and Elizabeth June Patton Parli. Surviving are three sisters, Lauretta Lee (and Sonny) Snyder, Yates City, Connie Mae Parli, Sun City, Ariz., and Christina Dee (and David Horne) Parli, Springfield, Ohio; a brother, William Charles Parli, Rochelle; and nieces, nephews, a great-niece and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was raised in Maquon and graduated from Valley Senior High School, Fairview. She earned an associate's degree in nursing from Carl Sandburg College. She was an occupational safety nurse for Honda of America, Anna, and had been a nurse in Illinois, Arizona, Montana, Colorado and Ohio. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rushsylvania Church of Christ, with the Rev. John James officiating. A memorial service will be later in Maquon.
