GALESBURG - Dixie Lee Patterson, 71, 121 W. Simmons St., died at 3:19 p.m. Thursday (April 20, 2006) in Galesburg Cottage Hospital.She was born July 19, 1934, in Galesburg, the daughter of Kermit and Ila Robinson Short.
Surviving are two sons, Terry Richardson, Coal Valley, and Danny Richardson, Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Victoria (and John Villarreal) Kaminski, Galesburg; two sisters, Connie Reading and Sharon Farrell, both of Galesburg; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was raised and educated in Galesburg and lived there all her life.
She was the manager/bartender at Cozy Benny's and Jumer's in galesburg until 1978.
She enjoyed fishing and camping, animals and watching the Chicago Cubs.
Cremation will be accorded. Private memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, with the Rev. Ken Muck officiating. No visitation is planned. Inurnment will be at a later date.
