Hispanic scholarships available

GALESBURG - Hispanic Latino Resource Group Inc. of Galesburg is accepting applications for two scholarships for 2007 Galesburg High School graduates of Hispanic descent.

The Erica Hunter and Adam Perez Memorial Scholarships will be awarded for $500 each and honor two area youths who were killed in accidents in 2004.

Applications are available at Galesburg High School. Applicants are required to submit short essays and provide letters of acceptance from the colleges they plan to attend. The deadline is April 23. For more information, call Margo Davila at 343-1488 or Irene Ponce at 343-0682.
