Wilson named to AAW post

MAQUON - The American Agri-Women National Vice President for Communications for 2007 is Chris Wilson of Manhattan, Kan. She and her husband Ron are involved in farming and ranching operations in Kansas and Illinois.

Wilson is the daughter of Stephen Mosher of Maquon and the late Barbara Riden Mosher.

This is Wilson's second stint as vice president for communications - the first was 1992-1993 - and she is in her 12th year as National Legislation Chair for AAW. She also served as coordinator of the Strategic Action and Response Team committees. She has been a member of AAW since 1978.

Wilson was raised on a grain and livestock farm near Maquon and holds a degree in agronomy from Western Illinois University and a juris doctorate, cum laude, from Washburn University School of Law.

She formerly served as assistant to the director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture and Assistant to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

American Agri-Women is the nation's largest coalition of farm, ranch, and agribusiness women, with 53 state, commodity and agribusiness affiliate organizations throughout the country, working to advocate for agriculture since 1974.
