Lewis L. Stewart

LAS VEGAS - Lewis L. Stewart, 75, Las Vegas, died Sunday (Feb. 18, 2007).

He was born Nov. 21, 1931, in Laura, Ill., the son of James L. and Vivian Robbins Stewart.

He married Catherine Lewis and they divorced. He married Wilma Charles, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sons, Roger (and Hazel) of Galesburg, and Ronnie of Phoenix; three brothers, Don Richard (and Betty) Stewart, Yuma, Ariz., and Morris (and Helen) Stewart and Charles D. (and Annie) Stewart, both of Galesburg; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and an infant brother.

He graduated from Elmwood High School.

He was a professional painter all his life and lived in Las Vegas for 35 years.

Cremation was accorded. Burial will be later in Galesburg. Davis Funeral Home, Las Vegas, is in charge of arrangements.
