Violet Hurstrom Vancil

WOODBURY, Tenn. - Violet Mae Hurstrom Vancil, 89, Woodbury, and a former resident of Alpha, Ill., for more than 50 years, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, following an extended illness.

She was born Aug. 27, 1918, the daughter of Martin and Alice Beck Hurstrom.

She is survived by six daughters, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Vancil, three brothers and two sisters.

Private graveside service will be later.
