Shirley J. Admire 1936-2008 Thursday, February 14, 2008 CLEARWATER, Fla. - Shirley J. Admire, 71, Clearwater, formerly of Abingdon, Ill., passed peacefully Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, after a lengthy illness. She was born June 22, 1936, in Monmouth, Ill., the daughter of Glen H. and Gertrude (Wells) Redding. She married Wallace (Ted) Admire on Aug. 21, 1953, in Monmouth.She is survived by her husband of 54 years; children Terry Lynn Herron of Tulsa, Okla., Cindy Duke of Dunedin, Fla., Tina Peters and her husband David of Holiday, Fla., and Jeff Admire and his wife Lois of Wesley Chapel, Fla. She adored her grandchildren, James Davison and his wife Kristi, Jana Marino and her husband Jay, Katie Peters, Jacob Peters; and two great-grandchildren, Ian and Bodie Davison. She is also survived by three brothers, Robert (Lee) Redding of Marquette Heights, Ill., Russell (Dean) Redding of Gladstone, Ill., and Daniel Redding of Raleigh, N.C.; and one sister, Patty Paulsgrove of Monmouth. She was employed for many years by OMC in Galesburg, Ill., and later worked for Warren Properties in Fort Worth, Texas. She is remembered as a devoted wife and mother; a high-spirited, honest, forthright person who loved children, animals and hunting for the next "bargain." Her passions included walking on the beach looking for shells, watching dolphins and simply being with family, friends and her constant companion "Sassy." She was of Methodist faith and requested no formal services. Her family had a private memorial at her favorite park overlooking the beach. Our Angel On Earth will be dearly missed. Memorials can be given to Hospice of the Suncoast or Palm Harbor United Methodist Church.
