Gloria J. Meeker 1929-2008 Wednesday, February 13, 2008 NORTH HENDERSON - Gloria J. Meeker, 78, North Henderson, died at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 12, 2008) in Seminary Manor.She was born Nov. 18, 1929, in Viola, the daughter of Fred and Grace McLaughlin Yerkey. She married Wendel G. Meeker on Aug. 16, 1954, in Galesburg. He survives. She is also survived by two sons, Bruce G. Meeker and David W. (Martha) Meeker, both of North Henderson; one sister, Patricia (Arnold) Ward of Milan; and two grandchildren, Brian (Rachel ) Meeker and Carolyn Meeker. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. She was a homemaker. She has lived in North Henderson since 1956. She graduated from Viola High School. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Daniel Siems will officiate. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the North Henderson and Alexis Ambulance Service or Community Hospices of America.
