ROSEVILLE - Jacqulyn M. "Jackie" Raymond, 57, of Roseville, passed away Thursday, (Feb. 7, 2008) at 8:20 a.m. at her home.
She was born Nov. 22, 1950, in Smithshire, the daughter of Edward Gene and Marjorie Lucille (Casteel) Thomas. She married Tim Raymond on Feb. 20, 1970, in Smithshire.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Raymond of Roseville; two daughters, Wendy (Rick) Hacker of Loveland, Ohio, and Tracie (Matt) Lewis of Monmouth; one son, Luke (Emily) Raymond of New Windsor; four grandchildren, Jackson and Ty Hacker, Allie Lewis and Lucy Raymond; two sisters, Connie (Steve) Davis of Smithshire and Barb (Gene) Simmons of Smithshire; and two brothers, Charles "Mooch" (Janet) Thomas of Monmouth and Jeff Thomas (Cathy Betar) of Monmouth.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jason, and her father-in-law, Barney Raymond.
She was born and raised in Smithshire and graduated from Media-Weaver High School in 1968. She moved to rural Roseville in 1976, where she has lived since.
She worked for the Review Atlas/Penny Saver for 20 years. She loved watching baseball and football, especially cheering for her favorite teams, the Chicago Cubs and Jacksonville Jaguars. Jackie enjoyed gardening and grew beautiful wildflowers. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and creating special memories and traditions, especially with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Corman Memorial Home in Roseville. Burial will be in the Ellison Cemetery in Smithshire. Family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Corman's in Roseville.
Memorials may be made in her memory. Corman Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
