TRENTON, Iowa - Joan J. (Jefferson) Williams, 65, Trenton, died Saturday (Jan. 19, 2008) at home.

She was born May 2, 1942, to William "Bill" and Betty Cramer Jefferson of Gilson, Ill.

She married Rick Williams of Iowa, who survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Jennifer (Chuck) Smith of Gilson, and Jolene Jefferson (Chick Rickey) of Galesburg, Ill.; three brothers, Jerry (Lori) Jefferson of Tenmile, Ore., Jeff (Sue) Jefferson of Gilson, and John Jefferson of New London, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jack, who passed away Jan. 21, 2008.

She was raised in Gilson where she attended grade school, and graduated from Knoxville High School.

Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Beatty Murphy Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, with a memorial service to follow. Burial will be later in Gilson Cemetery.
