Ruth A. Wells 1934-2008 Wednesday, January 23, 2008 GALESBURG - Ruth A. Wells, 73, 1370 Monroe St., died at 3:23 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 22, 2008) at home.Ruth was born March 9, 1934, in Stronghurst, the daughter of William Silas and Millie A. Magee Tracy. She married Richard Wells on June 18, 1949, in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1994. Surviving Ruth are three daughters, Sharon Day, Kathy (Randy) Atwater and Anna (Tom) Stone, all of Galesburg; a brother, Charles Tracy of Oquawka; a granddaughter, Kathy "Sis" (Mike) Doney of Galesburg; two grandsons, Richard "Bub" (Lorie) Atwater and Randy (Lori) Atwater, both of Galesburg; and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Ruth was a homemaker. She was a member of Women of the Moose. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Watson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kirk Kendall officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Watson Funeral Home.
