Richard C. Stegall 1946-2008 Tuesday, January 22, 2008 CRESTVIEW, Fla. - Richard Craig Stegall, 61, Crestview, Fla., formerly of Galesburg and Berwick, passed away Thursday (Jan. 17, 2008) at the North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview.He was born July 15, 1946, in Galesburg, Ill., the son of Floyd and Lois Walker Stegall. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces serving his country faithfully in the National Guard. He had a lifelong love for muscle cars and was a member of Spanish Trail Cruisers, Lake Jackson Cruisers and Buick Club. Richard farmed for many years and over time collected a wide variety of model tractors and cars. He loved music and dancing and was very talented on his keyboard. Richard was good with his hands and became skilled in different types of woodworking projects. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1964. He attended University of Illinois and Iowa Wesleyan University. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Stegall; two sons, Tyson (and Neili) Stegall and Brad Stegall, both of Peoria, Ill.; two daughters, Brandi Schleich and Cari Anne Shinn, both of Peoria; two brothers, Dave Stegall of San Francisco, and Scott (Lisa) Stegall of Cherry Hill, N.J.; his stepmother, Pat Stegall of Galesburg; two brother-in-laws, Billy of Crestview, Fla., and James of Luca, Ky.; three grandchildren, Brandon, Rylee, Alexandria; and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
