KNOXVILLE - Isabel A. England, 96, 800 North Market St., died at 6 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 16, 2008) at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville.

She was born June 26, 1912, in Galesburg, the daughter of John and Ida Gustafson.

She married George N. England on Jan. 22, 1939. He preceded her in death in June 1995.

Surviving are one daughter, Virginia (Greg) Pechauer of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sons, John England of Palm Springs, Calif., and Gary (Norma) England of Schertz, Texas; and one grandson, Andrew England of San Antonio, Texas. Preceded in death by her parents.

She spent her life in rural Illinois, where she realized her passion for horses, golf and farming. She was a homemaker and active mother of three.

Private funeral service will be Sunday, Jan. 20 at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville. The Rev. Marilyn Anell officiating. Visitation will be 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for Alternatives For The Aging Adult and Beacon of Hope Hospice, both of Galesburg. Contributions may be sent to Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, 120 S. Public Square, Knoxville, IL 61448.
