GALESBURG - A 12-year-old Galesburg girl was returned home Saturday evening after being reported missing at 5:49 p.m. Friday.

The girls' mother, Ethel M. Stall, 38, 325 Country Elms Estate, reported her daughter and stepmother, Jesse V. Flanagan, 75, Cicero, missing from her home after not finding either of them home Friday.

Stall reportedly said Flanagan had asked to take the girl to her home in Clearwater, Fla., with her, but Stall had refused.

Illinois State Police found Flanagan's car on I-74 near mile-marker 14 at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and returned the girl to her home.

Flanagan reportedly said she told Stall's boyfriend, Ron Smith, she was taking the girl to Cicero with her for about a week.
